The Jacques du Manoir Story

Since its inception 30 years ago, Jacques du Manoir has swiftly carved a niche in Swiss watchmaking. Founded by Jacques Boegli in 1993, the brand's roots trace back to a long-standing tradition of excellence deeply ingrained in Swiss horology. The journey began in 1904, when Jacques' grandfather, Louis Schwab, established a watch company in Moutier, Switzerland. Concurrently, Benjamin Boegli, a relative of the Schwab family, ventured into the production of watch dials—an early indication of the family's enduring connection to the watchmaking industry.

Over the years, the Boegli family's commitment to craftsmanship flourished, culminating when Benjamin was succeeded by his son, Jacques. Shortly after taking over and expanding his father's business, Jacques decided to honour his grandfather's legacy and transition towards watch production. 

1991, Boegeli launched the inaugural "B-Watch" collection. This milestone moment began the brand's pivot towards producing complete timepieces. Building on the success of the "B-Watch," Jacques du Manoir emerged as the official successor to the subsidiary two years later, solidifying its position
as a leading player in the Swiss watchmaking landscape.

In 2018, Jacques du Manoir changed ownership, with Christian Frommherz acquiring the brand. Despite this transition, the brand's core values remained steadfast, as evidenced by the retention of the stylised "B" emblem—a poignant homage to its storied heritage. Under Frommherz's guidance, Jacques du Manoir continued to uphold its commitment to quality, affordability, and innovation, remaining at the forefront of Switzerland's rapidly evolving accessories market.

Today, Jacques du Manoir is a testament to Swiss ingenuity, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design to create timepieces that resonate with a diverse audience. With its unwavering dedication to excellence and a rich legacy spanning over a century, Jacques du Manoir continues to chart a course towards a future defined by innovation and enduring craftsmanship.
